Recently joined a solid, as it turned out, game – Control. No, of course, I had heard a lot of good things about her before, but I personally try to try it personally. Well, now, we got. And the game really turned out to be solid.
I apologize if some spoilers come across below. I will try to avoid them as much as possible (in any case, important), so as not to spoil you with the first acquaintance with the plot of the game (unless, of course, you have passed it yet).
We play for the girl Jesse Faiden, who made our way to the building of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBK), in order to find out some mysterious circumstances of his past.
FBK is a classified office who is engaged in the search, study and neutralization of objects with paranormal properties. In this regard, the FBK has a certain similarity with the „people in black“ from the notorious cinema. A certain mysterious council – a paranormal essence or may be a set of entities in the aforementioned activity in the aforementioned activity. Contact with the Council is carried out through the director of the organization, whom this council gives supernatural capabilities and service weapons.
On a hundredth weapons, it is worth stopping in more detail, since it is quite unusual.
Firstly, the presence of this weapon, in fact, determines the status of the director of the FBK, since only the director can pick it up and use it. This is a clear reference to the sword of King Arthur, that is more than in DLC Foundation This is indicated almost on the forehead.
Secondly, the ammunition of the table weapons is limited by the store, which is automatically restored, but only at those moments when you do not shoot from weapons for some time (although there are mods of reloading speed).
Thirdly, we have one trunk, but it transforms into various shapes: a gun, a machine gun, a shotgun, a rocket launcher, a cumulative sniper and a grenade launcher with Velcro grenades (the latter is DLC-shine).
Initially, in every form of weapons, rolletto-casino.co.uk/ you can only insert onely one enhancing fashion. But, as the trunks are pumped, the number of slots increases to three. These mods exist both common, for any form of weapons, and individual, which are suitable only for certain forms.
For example, a fashion for a banal increase in damage (Do not see that it is banal, it does not cancel its effectiveness) can be inserted into any form of weapons. But, some mod to reduce the scatter of the damaging parts or an increase in their number per shot, you can only insert into the shape of a weapon-“fragments” (in other words, into a shotgun).
Fashion are different levels, the maximum of which is the sixth. True, there is a slight strangeness here. Sixth -level mods, for the whole game I got only a few pieces. While the rest fall quite massive.
You probably already ask – and what, in fact, the strangeness is logical, that improvements to the top level are much more rare than others. And I agree with you. But there is one nuance.
Sixth -level mods are also unique. As far as I noticed, the bonuses that are given from the mods of the sixth level do not come across among the lower -level mods (which, however, does not mean at all that 6-LVL MOD will be better).
And the strangeness that I spoke about is that among the fifth -level mods, unique ones also come across (they stand out with golden color). Such mods are issued exclusively for the implementation of some tasks (perhaps still come across secrets, did not pay attention).
Actually, I don’t understand why such a division? Why it was impossible to stick all the unique mods into one rank? Not that it somehow affects the gameplay or my assessment of the game. It just seemed strange and superfluous to me. If you know the answer – write in the comments.
Similarly, you can improve the characteristics of not only weapons, but also our protagonist – Jesse Faiden. With the difference that fashion for the character, for obvious reasons, is not divided by type of weapon.
The presence of an inventory restriction for all these mods was a little surprised. Why is it necessary here, it remains a mystery to me. Fortunately, they can be disassembled by particles that go to the upgrade of weapons and other, less useful, in my opinion, things.
Pumping is expressed not only in improving mods, but also to increase the characteristics of the abilities of Jesse. Among them there are both banal health and “mana” (here it is energy, but in fact – this is still the same mana), so more interesting. We get it for pumping all this for completing tasks and sometimes for finding secrets.
From the above “more interesting” abilities, Jesse has: throwing heavy objects, installing a shield from all rubbish, opponent control and levitation. All these skills are useful, greatly simplify life and, as they already said a little higher, they pump. Moreover, pumping can not only corny improve the skill, but also change its properties.
For example, a straight line of the upgrade of the shield – simply increases its protective properties, and the branch from this branch allows you to throw the junk from which the shield is compiled in the nearest opponents, causing them a damage. Next, it becomes possible to make a jerk with a shield towards the enemy, causing him to damage simply with his movement. Naturally, all these actions are scorched by a bunch of “mana”, but it is quickly restored if for some time you do not use the abilities that spend it. And with maximum pumping of the shield – it is restored, even when it is active, although slower than without it. For the greater efficiency of all this, you can activate mods that lower the costs of „mana“ to the aforementioned actions.
Another example is levitation. How easy it is to guess, this ability allows you to soar over the battlefield and smash opponents from a height. This especially helps against various grenade launchers, who simply cannot contrast anything with a flying goal. A straight line of pumping levitation – simply increases the time spent in the air without reducing. And additional – makes it possible to smash with force into the enemy, inflicting a decent amount of damage to him. The main thing is not to forget that it spends all the “mana” without a trace, so that this ability should be used with the mind. Otherwise, you can be in the crowd of strong enemies without the ability to quickly fade or put a shield from this crowd.
So, the abilities of Jesse, her weapons and pumping all this was slightly outlined. Now it is worth saying a couple of words and about those against whom all this arsenal has to apply.
Our opponents are mainly “Isses” – some entities that act mainly, infecting the personnel of the FBK. That is, most opponents are infected bureau officers. Some of them act as people, fighting, so to speak, by a classic weapon. But some acquire paranormal abilities, like those used by Jesse – they can fly, put shields, throw any trash, etc. p. In most cases, such opponents are most unpleasant. Especially taking into account the fact that they often have, in addition to health, also a strip of armor, which is restored over time.
Separately, it is worth highlighting the Isses, which simply passively levitate in the air, without reacting to what is happening around and betraying themselves mainly by indistinct muttering. These guys are not enemies. It is assumed that such a manifestation can be an early stage of infection.
